Our new bishop
What a week!! We knew that our bishop was moving, but we were shocked when the Stake President invited us to his house last Tuesday night and he extended the call for Nathan to serve as the new bishop. We are both overwhelmed, but I am so proud of Nathan. The Stake Pres. said that I will need to be released from my calling ASAP, so I will have served as the Relief Society Pres. for just over a month--kind of crazy. Church today was good. Nathan's boss Denny and one of his paralegals came to support him and his dad ordained him as a High Priest. My mom had already planned to be here over Labor day, so she was also here to see him be set apart. We were both asked to bear our testimonies and there was a good spirit in the meeting today. A whole new adventure awaits. I know that Nathan will do great things for this ward!

So do I give a congrats Nate or my condolences? Either way Nate is a great man and is a great judge of character. Well Amy that sure is a short calling as Relief Society Pres but I'm sure the bisop has other plans already in store for you. LOL
See you in Nov
Wow...that's wonderful! Can't think of a better guy (and family) for the job! Nate, we actually didn't think you could become a bishop if you were an attorney...guess there are always exceptions :)
May "ya'll" be blessed!
Love, The Roylances
Congrats, Nate! They sure move fast out there! You are going to do a fabulous job as Bishop and I know those members will love you as much as we do.
Congrats Nate! And Amy, I have been RS pres. before. Trust me, be glad that it was only for one month!!

Wow, talk about a lot of changes in just a few short months. However, I know that you will all be soooo blessed and so will your ward. Amy, you have me beat. The shortest time I was RS was 5 months (on my mission)and I thought that was fast. Guess you did such a good job so fast that it was time for a change. Kuddos. We miss you guys and will keep you in our prayers! Jen
Niiiiiice! Congrats/condolences all around!

My only surprise is that it took this long! :) Good luck on this new adventure!
I echo Andrew. Congrats. It's going to change your life!
